Arthritis

Arthritis is inflammation of joints and it involves the breakdown of cartilage. The job of the cartilage is to protect the joints for excessive wear and tear. As the breakdown of cartilage occurs either from an injury or from age, the bones begin to rub together causing pain, swelling, and stiffness. This is often found in our neck and low back.

Chiropractic care is highly recommended and should be a must when treating this condition as it slows down or in some cases prevents any further progression of arthritis. If left untreated, this condition can manifest over many years thus not allowing proper vertebral movement which can lead to fusion, degeneration and even disc injuries.
